Let Me Introduce Myself
I am Alvaro Castelan I am a problem solving, web developing, knowledge seeking, storytelling, sports loving, coffee drinking individual who is currently seeking a web developing position (MERN stack, front-end, or back-end). My weapons of choice for web developing are HTML, CSS, Javascript, Bootstrap, MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js. Secondary weapons for me include Handlebars.js and MySQL. I also have plenty of experience using different types of APIs. Photoshop and Lightroom are two applications that I use plenty as well for picture editing, logo creation, and UI content.
I like challenges, and I thrive in environments where continuous learning are the keys to success. I have a history of quickly adapting to assigned tasks, which have often led to advancements in my career. It speaks to my work ethic, desire to do things the right way and passions to make a difference.
Playing a variety of team sports since I could walk has resulted in me developing many team skills. I have been on teams where I have had to be a leader and on others where I was a role player. I was able to succeed in both positions. I understand the team's goals come before me and I work to meet and exceed those goals.
